Rock Hill SC Announces First Green Community, Walkers Ridge

Warren Norman, a Rock Hill developer, is set to begin construction at Walker's Ridge. Homes will be certified with EPA Energy Star status refecting a 20 to 30 percent more efficient home than new homes built with existing standards.

The homes will have a European look and the grounds will feature walking trails and 30 percent green space. The community will be located off Cherry Road on Ebinport with 75 homes. Four local builders and York Technical College collaborated. York Tech will provide inspections and energy effeciency testing.
